His backside, and battery box, are also as nice as the rest of him-near mint with NO damage or corrosion. Takes two "D" batteries. Push white button (at 1 o:clock) and hold it down momentarily, until his alarm (bell) rings. He "wakes up", opens his eyes and mouth, yawns, and raises his arms up as he stretches and his legs start moving as he walks around until the moving clock hands on his face reach 12:00 o'clock.
